You may wonder why anyone would write about being unattractive, but most of my life this has been my story. Now you may be thinking or rolling your eyes because you may assume that I want people to say, "Hey, you're not unattractive, but this is not the case. Before I loose you, I just want to ask, "Have you been that person, the one no one notices? Or the one who's only good enough to be the friend? Well, that was my life and most of my life I have struggled to get in front of the camera because of the negative effects of people's words. Until I discovered Self portraits.
I'm writing this post because I want people to understand how important it is to get into the frame, regardless of how you feel about yourself or how others may have made you feel in the past. Once you get in front of your camera or your phone you won't regret it.
There's something a bit liberating about it.
I've been working on my own self portraits for about a year now. It was hard at first, also a little weird and a bit vain, but there is something special about it. It's special because not only will I have photos of myself to keep once I get older, but my kids will have something to cherish once I'm no longer here. And that has meaning to me.
So I won't carry on too much. I'll be sharing down below some of my favorite self portraits and I hope to inspire some of you to take some self portraits of yourself in the future.
Thanks for stopping by to read the blog. If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment below. I hope you have a beautiful week!!!
